Dr. Julia Raju is a Consultant specializing in Pediatric and General Ophthalmology, with a strong academic and clinical background. She completed her MBBS from SUT Academy of Medical Sciences, Trivandrum, followed by a Diploma in Ophthalmology (D.O) from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology at the Government Medical College, Trivandrum. She further pursued her DNB from Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Research Institute, Trivandrum, and completed her senior residency at the Government Medical College, Parippally, Kollam. Dr. Raju has made notable contributions to ophthalmology research, being a finalist in the prestigious Prof K S Subramanian Paper Presentation at KSOS Drishti 2020. She presented her research on "Intense Pulsed Light Therapy as a Treatment for Dry Eyes" at the same conference and later presented a poster on "Management of Acute Hydrops-A Pot Pourri" in KSOS Drishti 2021. Her areas of interest include cornea, anterior segment, cataract, and medical retina, making her a well-rounded expert in the field.
